What is a song and how does it become a recording?
Follow along with Martin and discover how songs are created. Learn to write a song, record it in the studio and then use effects and layers to build something completely unique!
The session will be broken down into 2 parts;
Part 1 - Learn about how songs are created via the instruments commonly found in popular music such as bass, guitar, drums, vocals and keyboards.
Part 2 - This covers music production and how a song takes shape after it is recorded. How effects, layers of tracks, edits and more, can be used to radically enhance a sound that may otherwise sound dull or uninteresting.
Students will leave with a copy of the workshop topics and a recording of their song on a USB stick.
This workshop is for children aged 10-16 who are interested in how music is made, recorded and produced in a modern music studio.
No previous music experience required!
Sunday 28th August 2022 (Bank Holiday Weekend) from 11am to 3pm.
